Small Space Race Contest Launches at Furniture-for-Small-Spaces.com
Columbus, OH (PRWEB) June 19, 2008 -- Thanks to the success and support from visitors in regards to the last contest, Furniture for Small Spaces is at it again. Except this time the prizes have gotten bigger and better. Winners of the Small Space Race contest can look forward to a grand prize of $300 and a free living room set, which includes a sofa, chair and storage ottoman. First place prize wins $100 and a sleeper sofa and winning second place guarantees a cash prize of $75 and a chair and a half.
Contest rules are specific, but not difficult to follow. Each entrant must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident. They must submit at least 5 photos of their small space, and explain how they've made the most of their small space in 50 words or more. But the good news is the contest is open to various categories which give most people the opportunity to enter. Entry categories allowed are: living rooms, dorm rooms, studio apartments, bedrooms, dining rooms, rooms made from closets, and home offices.
Tameka Norris, the President of Furniture for Small Spaces will be judging the contest. Winners are chosen not only by their creative ability to decorate a small room beautifully, but also by how much effort they put into entering.
"Judging by the last contest, I think it will help most people to know that effort does count for a lot. With "The Best Small Bedroom" contest a lot of contestants veered off the subject when it came to answering the 50 word question. I don't think they realized how much of a difference it made concerning winning and losing, but a beautiful room isn't all that counts. How much effort the contestant puts into explaining why they think their small space is unique is just as significant. So, I think it's important contestants realize how valuable it is this time around and that will give them the extra edge they need to make it to the final round," Tameka says.
Cash prizes are sponsored by Furniture for Small Spaces while the free furniture is courtesy of SimplicitySofas.com.
What makes the furniture so valuable to small home owners is that it is ready-to-assemble furniture. That means that it comes disassembled in small sections so that it may be transported through narrow hallways, tight doorways, and other cramped spaces. Small home goers will also be delighted to know that it only takes 15 minutes or less to assemble.
"I really wanted to do something to reward the folks that support Furniture for Small Spaces, and teaming up with Simplicity Sofas was the perfect opportunity. Our sites compliment each other because they're both dedicated to helping people who live in small homes. We understand how difficult it is to come by the right type of furniture when you're living in really cramped quarters. It's not easy, so this is my way of saying thanks to the dedicated fans that visit my site."
The deadline for the contest is August 1, 2008. Winners receive cash prizes by mail immediately after they are announced, which is August 30, 2008. And furniture prizes must be ordered within 90 days of the end of the contest.
The Small Space Race is strictly an online contest and anyone interested in entering may go to http://www.furniture-for-small-spaces.com/the-small-space-race-contest.html for more in depth details, and to submit their entry.
